Surrey Climate Commission is proud to be part of the prestigious Local Energy Advice Demonstrator (LEAD) project, funded by the Department for Energy Security & Net Zero, via the Greater South-East Energy Hub. The project is led by Surrey County Council Greener Futures team working with a range of local partner organisations. LEAD aims to increase the number of Surrey homes that receive tailored energy advice and support, to help residents retrofit energy saving measures to their homes. This will make Surrey homes warmer and cheaper to heat, while also reducing the county’s overall carbon emissions.

"The role of communities and local champions is very important in building trust in local energy advice" said Cat Reeby, Project Director at Surrey Climate Commission. "Our role is to make sure that local voices are heard and their views feed into the new service. This project wants to reach all residents across Surrey, and especially those who face significant barriers or have been unable to take up energy saving measures in their homes to date."
