Major commitments have been made to reduce greenhouse gas emissions around the world. There are central government and local government policies, policy statements, strategic plans, action plans, and alike.  Some significant changes and actions have already been implemented. However, the latest 2023 data from NOAA.gov shows the relentless increase of every greenhouse gas category.  Our lack of focus upon scope 3 emissions and consumer behavioural change is a major obstacle to satisfactory progress.
