Active Travel Project Launched

The Commission have joined forces with the Living Lab department at the University to set up a Surrey Active Travel Project.
The objective is to identify behavioural triggerds and barriers that have affected the take up of active travel in order to produce outcomes
that can help steer effective and coherent future policy and development .
An initial stakeholder meeting was held on the 10th of June with representatives from the County and Local Borough Councils
along with other public and private sector contibutors.
The Living Lab research team , led by Proffessor Birgitta Gatersleben, will now collate response from this meeting to help shape
the form of the research. The likelihood is that it will involve an initial survey followed up by the holding of focus group work.
