PCAN have just delivered their response to the Government's White Paper on Levelling Up.

Written by PCAN Policy Fellow, Brendan Curran, and following submissions from all Commissions, including Surrey, it has highlighted serious shortcomings in how the levelling up agenda links with the drive for Net Zero.

In short the Report fails to recognise the opportunities and synergies that can be gained from linking effective place-based climate action with regional inequalities.

More joined up strategy and a need to recognise the important role of well made climate action plans are two of the recommendations.
